Oracle provides a mature and feature-rich development platform that supports J2EE, .NET, PHP and a variety of other standards-based technologies. Developers working with Oracle can build systems for deployment in environments that scale from single user to the largest of enterprises.
There are a number of free tools to help database and application developers streamline web application and database development Those provided for .NET developers make it easy to deploy Oracle-based applications and web services on the Windows platform. Those working with Java have access to Oracle's free JDeveloper, an advanced integrated development environment for J2EE.
